Atalissa Volunteer Fire Department
The Atalissa Fire Department is a 18 member volunteer department that provides emergency services to the residents of Atalissa and the surrounding area.
The Atalissa Fire Department proudly protects approximately 1,350 people in a 49 square mile area. This area includes part of Muscatine and Cedar county, several hundred acres of state and county public access, several miles of I-80, and parts of Goshen, Pike, Iowa, and Moscow townships.
The department members provide fire suppression, fire prevention, rescue, and non-transport medical services to the community. The Atalissa Fire Department responds to approximately 85 calls each year. The Atalissa Fire Department has the ability to call additional personnel and equipment from fire departments in surrounding communities through the use of mutual aid agreements.
